HR Compliance Intern - 12 months

The HR Compliance Intern will be working alongside the West Europe HR Compliance Manager and UK HR Compliance Analyst to provide support with numerous HR compliance projects across the UK and West Europe. Tasks will be varied, ranging from, for example, policy reviews, addressing ad hoc employee queries and assisting with onboarding documentation. Support will also be required with remote auditing of locations to ensure compliance with country legislation and SLB HR policies and practices. This will be a hands-on role that will require the candidate to have a keen interest in employment law and compliance generally.
HR Compensation Internship lasts for 1 year duration starting from Summer 2023 (flexible start date).
Responsibilities

In conjunction with the UK HR Compliance Analyst, monitor HR documentation and update as necessary to ensure compliance with local legislation. Review and update content on the Compliance and HR InTouch websites.

Support the Visa and Immigration Compliance team in ensuring compliance with immigration rules and country requirements.

Assist with implementing programs and processes to ensure compliance with employment legislation, immigration law and internal policies.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist with ensuring compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.

Assist with data subject access requests when received.

Assist with running ad-hoc SAP reports.

Participate in remote location audits, as required.

Other duties may be assigned according to the needs of the team.
Qualifications:
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related subject.
