Job Summary
The Tax Analyst is responsible for the accounting process related to statutory regulations in the country of operation.
Relationships:
Directly reports to the Tax Manager of Guyana, Trinidad & the Caribbean
Responsibilities:
Candidate’s duties may include the following:

Prepare, review and file entities corporate tax returns and indirect tax returns.

Review statutory fiscal accounts to meet filing deadlines
-
Support tax provisions and tax reporting processes, including ETR report, FP8, FP6, BS notes.

Deliver on Tax effectiveness and efficiency targets

Preparation and timely submission of all tax returns/computations to the relevant tax authorities

Monitor statutory audits of local legal entities.

Ensure timely payment of all taxes.

Handle the queries from the local tax authorities

Support field tax audits as required.

Assist the Tax Manager on special projects.

Review intercompany agreements and supporting documentation.

Develop procedures to improve compliance and reporting processes.

Compute and book corporate tax provisions.

Review of related and third party invoices for indirect tax compliance.

Cash flow forecasting for actual/potential tax payments
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
-
ACCA level 2 or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Tax Analyst or similar role
-
Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
-
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
