Description & Scope

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a key technology for reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to help tackling global warming.
 

 

Measurement, Monitoring, and Verification (MMV) enforces comprehensive risk control via surveillance activities by comparing measured and predicted performance of the CO2 storage complex. MMV is mandatory across the lifecycle of a CO2 storage project, and a solid MMV plan is a significant investment in time and resources.
 

 

This internship project will focus on developing the digital tool to optimize carbon storage MMV planning.

 

 

 

Deliverables

 

 

  • Collect insights on digital technologies that support CCS, net-zero, renewables, and energy management
  • Work with product team to analyze the challenge, research and optimize the solution for carbon storage MMV
  • Deliver and integrate solution in the digital product.  

 

 

 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

 

  • Studying for a Masters or PhD in Geophysics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity
  • Programming skills in one of Python/Golang etc.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge with CCS or numerical simulations would be advantageous.
