Stonehouse Technology Centre (SHTC) is the SLB drilling Centre of Excellence. It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialised Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products.

 

 

Over 300 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations.

 

 

 

 

Description & Scope:

 

 

 

Audit SHTC's compliance to slb's global Electrical Harness Development Guide, to benchmark current status.  In addition, obtain feedback from all stakeholders in the development process, to understand their issues and frustrations.  Following this outline a set of proposals for possible improvement.

 

 

 

 

Deliverables:

 

 

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the Electrical Harness Development Guide, the electrical harness manufacturing process, and the associated industry standards.
  • Engage with project teams, supply chain, suppliers, and other Slb Technology Centres, to identify potential design and manufacturing opportunities for improvement at SHTC.
  • Document your findings in a report, and present a summary of these to the relevant stakeholders

 

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering  or a related discipline
  • Oral and written communication skills in English
  • Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity
  • Electronics Manufacturing: An understanding of the electronic hardware assembly process and the associated industry standards.
  • Engineering Administration: Awareness of the good practices required to prepare manufacturing documentation and control it through engineering change processes.
  • Supplier Quality: Adept at responding to requests for information, verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions, and compiling First Article Inspection packages.
