Job Description

The HSE Lead is responsible for providing line management and their team with advice and support regarding HSE. The HSE Lead ensures that HSE is a priority to the business by monitoring the application of HSE policies in the location. This person is involved in the career development, promotions, disciplinary actions and planning of work of the HSE Specialists reporting to them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Liaise with local contractors and agencies regarding HSE.
  • Prepare and monitor HSE plans to define how the HSE Management System is implemented at location level.
  • Keep abreast of any new documentation and training material related to HSE and inform Management accordingly.
  • Ensure that the relevant HSE documentation is updated and available on the site.
  • Advise management on the level of compliance of the local HSE program with SLB, local and national requirements/regulations of the United States.
  • Regularly review internal system (QUEST) to identify HSE trends and coordinate necessary actions.
  • Ensure all location specific HSE risks are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans are implemented, and necessary HSE trainings are provided to all personnel.
  • Handle grievances or complaints and disciplining employees.
  • Assist in the audit program and verify compliance with company standards using appropriate checklists

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering, Sciences or Safety management
  • Minimum of 7years relevant HSE managerial work experience
  • Knowledge of compliance with regulations associated with OSHA.
  • Prior experience in oil & gas is an added advantage.
