Job Summary:

SLB Iraq is seeking a skilled Measurement & Logging While Drilling (MLWD) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining MLWD tools and delivering high-quality real-time data to optimize drilling performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain MLWD tools at well sites.
• Collect, process, and interpret downhole data, including gamma ray, resistivity, and directional measurements.
• Ensure real-time data transmission to the surface and troubleshoot any telemetry or tool failures.
• Collaborate with Directional Drillers and Drilling Engineers to optimize wellbore trajectory and performance.
• Ensure compliance with SLB and client safety standards and operational procedures.
• Prepare and deliver detailed logs, reports, and documentation of MLWD operations.
• Troubleshoot and maintain MLWD equipment to minimize downtime and maximize tool performance.
• Provide technical support and training to junior field engineers and drilling personnel.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MLWD Engineer in oil and gas operations.
• Strong knowledge of MLWD tools, data acquisition systems, and telemetry technologies.
• Experience with downhole logging tools, surface equipment, and real-time data interpretation.
• Familiarity with industry software for well logging, directional planning, and survey calculations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in field environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
