Job Summary:

Complete all tasks required to produce barite safely and efficiently from our underground drill and blast barite mining operation. Working hours are 45 hours per week, 9 hours a day (Monday to Friday). 

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance Duties:

• Work to mine plans to safely achieve production targets.
• Monitor ground conditions and perform any necessary rectification work.
• Perform equipment checks and use in a competent manner.
• Install ground support.
• Safe application of explosives.
• Extension of mine ventilation system

Operational Duties:

• Complete all operations required for the production cycle:-
  • Drilling
  • Blasting
  • Loading trucks
  • Operating trucks
  • Post blast safety checks
• Complete all operations required for production support:-
• Extension and relocation of, compressed air, electrical power and ventilations systems
• Installation of additional ground support
• Maintenance of mine roadways
• Maintenance of mine water pumping systems
• Adhere to SLB policies.
