Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

 

 

Description & Scope:

  • ​​Implements sourcing plans/ tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to his/ her assigned project portfolio
  • Provides sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost-effective and timely manner from suitable vendors.
  • Works with the assigned project teams to meet critical project timelines, prioritizing work and communicating progress in cadence reviews/ through tracking mechanisms.
  • Defines part & assembly parameters for systematic Purchase Order release.
  • Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations for new supplier onboarding.
  • Understands strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet departmental objectives

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Order Management

  • Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately in ERP systems
  • Track order status and ensure timely delivery
  • Updates in the system when dates have been moved 

 

Sourcing Support

  • Follow-up on request for quote (RFQ) packages 
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, sending additional documentation as necessary

 

Supplier Coordination

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries, and order confirmations
  • Resolve discrepancies in invoices or shipments

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Procurement / Sourcing / Manufacturing / Operations / Business economics  or a related discipline
  • Process and quality improvement driven
  • Experience with data management and control principles
  • Proficient in MS Office apps, SAP (favourable) or other ERP system
  • Negotiation and decision making skills
