Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Hassi Messaoud. This role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, enhancing maintenance process efficiency, and reducing COSD (Cost of Service Delivery) within the GeoUnit and/or location. The Maintenance Engineer will develop and implement initiatives to improve asset utilization, support failure investigations, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop initiatives and improvement plans to enhance asset utilization, reliability, and COSD within the location or GeoUnit

  • Identify, implement, and drive continuous improvement (CI) efforts to reduce asset downtime, waiting times, and work-in-process

  • Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects related to rework/reuse of parts, service level kits, and equipment design improvements

  • Support and participate in failure investigations to identify and eliminate root causes, in collaboration with the reliability, sustaining, and engineering teams

  • Implement RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) to improve the quality and frequency of maintenance tasks and service levels

  • Identify, implement, and drive projects to improve COSD within the GeoUnit and/or location

  • Participate in periodic technical audits and CAT compliance assessments, following up on maintenance-related remedial action plan closures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

  • Experience or strong exposure to maintenance engineering and reliability improvement

  • Good understanding of maintenance processes, failure analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in field-based operational environments
