The Project Planner will be responsible for performing detailed schedule analysis, on‑time delivery assessments, and proactively developing mitigation strategies to ensure timely compliance with project objectives.

This role involves working closely with the project team to build both proposal and execution schedules, using experience and technical insight to optimize timelines to meet contractual deadlines. The Project Planner will run periodic look‑ahead reports and update schedules based on feedback from the project team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and milestones in alignment with project requirements.
  • Review and monitor subcontractor and vendor schedules, ensuring coordination, progress tracking, and performance evaluation.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (version 25), as well as Microsoft Office tools and management reporting.
  • Develop integrated project schedules in compliance with best practices, including internal quality checks and resolution of schedule logic errors.
  • Support all aspects of project planning and progress monitoring, including information flow, package delivery tracking, and site‑work coordination using formal project management methods.
  • Review project scopes and develop optimized schedules, updating them as required by regional teams and collaborating closely with core and project teams.
  • Assist with resource and cost loading, highlighting critical progress issues and proposing corrective actions.
  • Apply advanced methods for project progress reporting, including S‑Curves, Earned Value, Critical Path analysis, and look‑ahead planning.
  • Prepare weekly, bi‑weekly, and monthly progress reports for assigned projects.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on schedules, reporting requirements, and Primavera validation processes for project packages.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project management, PMO standards, and industry best practices, and will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8–9 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven background working on EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects.
  • Hands‑on experience with FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) projects.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and coordination within large‑scale engineering environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support complex project execution
