The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for ensuring on time work order creation and delivery based on the Master production schedule. They monitor, maintain, guide, and audit the systematic processes required to complete deliverables per the client and SLB specifications. An equally important aspect of their role is to control and maintain costs, including hidden costs that are not directly tied to products or work orders.

Roles and Responsibilities:   

  • Manage planning and production execution data including work orders, prioritization, capacity constraints and production monitoring.
  • Monitor and maintain key systematic handovers between Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality.
  • Interface with production teams and Procurement/Planning specialists to prioritize items.
  • Identify and help resolve production demand and supply imbalances in volume and mix.
  • Provide daily guidance and information to the Production team regarding the status of production schedules.
  • Prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and flag other potential interruptions to the production and shipping sequences.
  • Monitor production progress against scheduling needs and intervene as necessary to bring deliveries back into compliance with production schedules.
  • Identify and report opportunities and implement actions to reduce waste, shorten lead times and reduce costs.
  • Use the guiding principles and the tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement wherever applicable.
  • Identify root causes of the problems we face today and drive corrective action
  • Maintain Master Data and other systematic processes
  • Utilize, test, and enhance automated tools to increase efficiency
  • Understand, Review, Highlight, and Report financial impacts of various aspects of the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
    • Masters degree considered with priority
  • 2 years minimum Direct SAP experience
    • Experience in other ERP systems will be considered
  • 2 years minimum experience with MRP and Scheduling
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
