The Manufacturing Welder located in Ville Platte, La is responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications and other forms of instruction.   • Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal or overhead positions.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend and grind component parts.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment and materials.
  • Examine work for defects.
  • Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
  • Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
  • Maintain the required safety training.
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be able to pass a 1G open root pipe test with GMAW root and FCAW fill and cap. 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preference for one-year certificate from technical school or college.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux core) welding techniques.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without sponsorship.
