We are looking for a Logistics Analyst who is responsible for the effective planning and execution of day-to-day ocean and air export operations. This role ensures seamless cargo flow, compliance with client requirements, and optimal management of international shipments. The Logistics Analyst works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver timely, cost-efficient, and compliant transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily export activities for ocean and air shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
- Collaborate with, carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient cargo flow and resolve operational issues.
- Develop and implement project-specific procedures and logistics concepts tailored to operational requirements.
- Manage shipment data and documentation in SAP and freight forwarding systems, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Track freight movements, proactively addressing delays and exceptions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive shipment documentation and records in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all export shipments.
- Control, audit, and reconcile shipments to verify compliance with export regulations and contractual obligations.
- Respond to client quotations and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), preparing detailed and cost-effective proposals.
- Monitor, report, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve operational targets and continuous improvement objectives.
- Prepare logistics concepts and operational procedures for new projects and existing business.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager, supporting team and organizational objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in export planning, logistics, or freight forwarding within an international environment.
- Strong understanding of ocean and air freight operations, export documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in SAP and freight forwarding software systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for stakeholder coordination.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and data management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting Structure
The Export Planner reports directly to the Export or Logistics Manager and collaborates with team members and cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives.
Performance Metrics
- Achievement of target KPIs such as on-time shipment delivery, documentation accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Compliance with export regulations and company procedures.
- Quality and timeliness of client quotations and RFQ responses.
- Effectiveness in stakeholder coordination and issue resolution.
Other Duties
Flexibility to perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager, contributing to the overall success of the logistics and export operations.
