We are looking for a Lab Technician located in Sugar Land, TX. This is a 10-month temporary contract with potential to go longer based on business need and performance. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

What You Will Do:
- Perform routine and advanced wet chemistry laboratory testing and analysis
- Prepare, process, and analyze crude and related sample in accordance with established procedures
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
- Accurately document test results, observations, and analytical data
- Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and work areas in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with team members to support research, testing, and quality assurance initiatives
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for data management, reporting, presentations and communication
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum five years of experience working in a lab environment, OR, an Associate’s Degree in a related field of study (e.g. lab technician programs, college coursework in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) with a minimum of two years of experience OR a Bachelor's Degree
- Work experience in a lab environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- General chemistry laboratory experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Physical Demands:
- Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling and testing oil samples
- Previous Production Chemistry / Oil and Gas Laboratory Setting experience
- Hands on experience with Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Experience with CHNS Elemental Analysis
- Experience using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
