Empowering former military service members in our communities

In acknowledgement of our ongoing commitment to providing career opportunities for veterans, as well as investing in programs to enhance their lives, Schlumberger has been awarded the Military Friendly Employer designation for the fifth year in a row.

The annual award identifies and celebrates organizations demonstrating a strong commitment to those that have served.

"We are proud to employ thousands of former military personnel globally," said Nick Tran, Community and Veteran Affairs Manager at Schlumberger. "Our approach goes beyond recruiting and retaining top military talent, it's about improving the lives of all service members and empowering the lives of veterans and their families."

In the past year teams at Schlumberger have been involved in numerous projects that support the veteran community, including:

• Supporting the Veterans Business Battle – a forum to connect veteran-owned businesses with investors, advisers and resources to help with the set-up and success of start-up businesses.
• Sponsoring and participating in the Spin for a Veteran event to raise money for Homes for Heroes, an organization that builds accommodation for homeless veterans.
• Partnering with local organizations to support veterans living with post-traumatic stress.
• Assisting the French Consulate to identify veterans that were deployed to France during WWII so that they could be awarded with Legion of Honour medal, France's highest award of merit for military and civilian achievements.
• Participating in veteran community engagement events virtually or in-person at universities, military bases or company facilities.
• Supporting the Inaugural Cornhole for Charity Tournament with our customers.
