Supporting the Next Generation of Talent

Schlumberger participated at the Petroleum Arabian Conference and Exhibition (PACE), a leading energy event for students in Egypt.

As one of the main sponsors, Schlumberger’s presence helped students gain inside insights on how a global company operates. The three-day event had over a thousand participants.

Highlights included inspiring remarks by Diane Frachon, GeoUnit Sales and Marketing Manager at Schlumberger. “It was great to support this event and help the next generation of talent discover how they can shape the future of energy. We offer impactful internships and entry-level programs for students where they’ll work with diverse teams and best-in-class technologies,” says Frachon.

There were also technical discussions led by Fairoz and Mariam who shared engineering and geologist expertise on landing string offshore operations and borehole imaging. The students were fascinated to discover Schlumberger’s innovative work, and were able to have a dynamic discussion with the company’s representatives.

At the event, Schlumberger also held a scenario-based competition, where participants worked in teams on a full logging program, workflow for field development, and subsequent well clean up. The students were commended for their creativity and the two winners were awarded a site visit.

The occasion provided an excellent opportunity for students to network with energy industry professionals, discover the latest industry trends as well as get guidance for their professional journey.
