SLB recognized with an outstanding employer support award at the 2024 Navy Employer Recognition Event
SLB has been recognized with an outstanding employer support award at the 2024 Navy Employer Recognition Event (NERE). This recognition reflects the company’s commitment as a military friendly employer.
NERE is an annual day that honors civilian employers that have demonstrated exceptional support for their Navy Reservists, allowing them to see first-hand what they do every day. Employers are selected from nominations submitted by their Reserve Sailor employees.
SLB was nominated by employee and Lieutenant in the Navy Reserve, Luis Carlos Caro-Delgado, Midstream Production Systems Tender Lead. The award, which recognizes civilian employers who provide outstanding support to Reserve Sailors within their organizations, was presented to Bruce Miller, Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs, SLB, at the NERE 2024.
Caro-Delgado, who has been with SLB for over five years, was motivated to make the nomination by the strong sense of inclusion he feels within his team. He cited the exceptional support and dedication he received during his active duty. “My manager championed a culture of appreciation for military service and proactively implemented flexible work arrangements.” he confirmed. “Everyone at SLB, from leadership, the human resources team, and all my team members have contributed to building an environment where military service is celebrated.” he added.
Miller explains, “SLB’s commitment to promoting a supportive culture of inclusion, flexibility, and appreciation, profoundly impacts our military members' success and positively affects our overall workplace culture.” Adding, “We’re honored to receive this recognition from the United States Navy Reserve. An award like this helps us to continue our journey of inclusion and encourages our ongoing support for our military community.” he said.
