Schlumberger employees selected for first-ever E&P Energy Innovators Program

For every new technology we develop, there’s a team that’s behind it. A thinker, a tinkerer, a passionate person with a thirst for knowledge and solving complex challenges.
The first-ever Hart Energy E&P Energy Innovators Program recognized 47 individuals, three of whom, we’re proud to say, are Schlumberger or Schlumberger-affiliated employees.
Rachael Cole, Project Manager, Production Technologies, M-I SWACO, a Schlumberger Company
With her drive to carry ideas and inventions from inception to commercialization, Rachael’s extensive research of new technologies for production chemicals led to the use of dendrimers for the development of new molecules with unique and beneficial properties for the oilfield.

Christopher Daeffler, Product Development Engineer, Oilfield Chemistry, Schlumberger
Christopher’s expertise in oilfield chemistry was key in enabling his team to develop a new fit-for-basin acid stimulation technology that solves the problems of legacy emulsified acid systems while maintaining—and in some cases, improving—performance in high-temperature reservoirs across the world.

Stuart Fraser Wright, Senior Measurement Engineer, Sensia, a joint venture between Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger
While pursuing his Ph.D in chemical engineering, Stuart’s jet mixing research influenced a significant step change in the design of dynamic mixing and representative sampling in smaller pipeline applications advancing the technology to a new level.

These individuals all bring something special to the technologies that they helped to develop and the teams with which they work. They all have that little spark that inspires new ways of thinking or ingenious creativity that expands the capabilities of what’s possible in our industry.
