Job Summary : The Reservoir Engineer is responsible for evaluating, developing, and optimizing oil and gas reservoirs to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and asset value throughout the field lifecycle. The role involves reservoir characterization, performance analysis, reservoir simulation, production forecasting, reserves estimation, and field development planning. Reservoir Engineers work closely with geoscientists, drilling, production, and facilities teams to support data-driven decisions that improve reservoir performance, increase recovery factors, and ensure efficient resource management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related science only in Petroleum Engineering, Geology and Geophysics, etc.
Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid flow in porous media, and reservoir simulation.
Experience with industry software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, MBAL, or similar tools.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze reservoir performance using geological, petrophysical, and production data.
- Build and maintain reservoir simulation models to forecast production and assess development scenarios.
- Conduct reserves estimation and support annual reserves reporting.
- Identify opportunities for production optimization, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and field redevelopment.
- Prepare field development plans and recommend well placement, drilling, and completion strategies.
- Monitor reservoir pressure, fluid movement, and recovery efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated reservoir management solutions.
- Support economic evaluations and provide technical recommendations for investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and HSE requirements.
