Operations Support/Management

The Storekeeper is responsible to execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. They inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state. They complete material fulfillment upon Division request. Tasks and responsbilities:

  • Receiving and Processing: Accept incoming shipments, inspect for quality, and document merchandise for delivery or return.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory entering and exiting the warehouse, ensuring proper stock rotation and cycle counts.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label goods for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping schedules.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes and pallet jacks, and perform daily inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Assist with general housekeeping
  • Update systems or paperwork for inbound/outbound stock movements
  • Arrange local freight
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and address any issues that arise during operations.

 

  • Valid Forklift Licence
  • Experience in warehouse or logistics operations is preferred
  • Dogging Licence is preferred
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking or job sheets
  • Reliable, punctual, and organised
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
