Schlumberger recognized among the most preferred employers in Malaysia

Several annual award rankings have recognized Schlumberger as a top employer in Malaysia.

These recognitions reflect the company’s culture, teamwork and innovation—some of the many reasons that make Schlumberger a great place to work.

Schlumberger has been named in the Malaysia Edition of HR Asia magazine’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia. The award recognizes organizations with high levels of employee engagement and excellent workplace cultures.

“Our commitment to putting our employees first is key in making us an employer of choice,” notes Maral Ovezova, HR Manager Asia at Schlumberger. “Our people are encouraged to share ideas and apply their creativity to contribute to the company’s performance as well as their own professional and personal growth.”

In the Graduates’ Choice Awards, Schlumberger is among the most preferred graduate employers to work for in Malaysia—with this year’s acknowledgement in three categories: Shared Services, Engineering, and Oil and Gas.

“It’s exciting that we’ve been recognized in Malaysia as one of the most attractive companies to work for in the shared services categories in several employer rankings. It’s a testament to our talented teams in our Global Business Services organization,” says Zac Hoh, Recruiting Manager at Schlumberger.

The Schlumberger Global Business Services organization provides everyday services that meet important business needs—ranging from IT and HR support to contracts and legal services to procurement and logistics support.

“Our multi-skilled teams in Global Business Services include accountants, human resources, IT and legal specialists, as well as supply chain, distribution and logistics professionals who work together in a friendly environment operating from four global hubs,” adds Hoh.

In other recognitions, Schlumberger was named in Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers as one the top 20 in the most preferred employers category and among the top three in the shared services and energy categories. The annual Graduan Brand Awards named Schlumberger among the top 15 leading employers in Malaysia, ranking first place in the shared services category and second in the oil and gas category.

Graduates are an essential part of the future of Schlumberger. Employees benefit from world-class training, work on challenging projects straight away and play a key role in the company’s global community.

“We hire talented, driven graduates every year across many disciplines and give new hires exciting and challenging responsibilities to make a difference from day one,” says Chua Han Jim, Talent Acquisition Manager, South East Asia and Australasia at Schlumberger.
