Hilde

Hilde, Principal Scientific Computing Engineer

With a MSc in industrial mathematics and a PhD in statistics, Hilde has spent most of her career at Schlumberger in research. “The international profile of the company appealed to me, as I knew I would be working in a diverse team with good growth opportunities,” she recalls. Working at Schlumberger involves life-long learning for those working in research and development, with each new project requiring thorough knowledge of the theory and literature behind the task at hand. “I’ve been trusted with increasing responsibilities over the years, and that makes me feel my contributions are valued by the different communities within the company.” She currently works on research-related topics for software technology development. Mei May, Project Manager

After completing her bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Mei May joined WesternGeco, a Schlumberger company that specializes in geophysical services. Her work involves multi-component 4D projects, marine and land 3D projects, as well as velocity model building, and depth imaging. During her career journey, she’s worked across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. “Throughout my career at Schlumberger, one thing is constant—teamwork. As no one project is the same, it opens opportunities to grow within the company,” she says. Read about her career path here.

Myriam, Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Myriam has master’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Engineering. As an artificial Intelligence Engineer, she analyzes data to develop models that help automate complex processes and deliver better decisions faster. “I’ve always loved technology and am passionate about my work. When I was at university, I met some data scientists from Schlumberger. We discussed the limitless possibilities of data science in the energy industry and how it can help create a better world for all.
